Reconcile a bank statement

The AI agent matches each statement transaction to your invoices, links them together and updates the invoices.

Step by step

  1. Create a Bank statements project

It all starts with a project created from the right template. In Create a project, open the list of pre-built templates and choose Bank Statements: the statement fields are ready, including the transactions table.

  2. Review the extracted transactions

Our project already exists: let's open it. The September statement is already extracted. Balances, totals, dates: all the data is there, along with every transaction. Browse them one by one, or display them all at once: all six transactions are extracted.

  3. Ask the agent to reconcile

Close the grid, then open the AI Assistant. Ask it to reconcile this statement with the invoices in the project, which you mention with @: Factures fournisseurs 2026. Type @ again to add a skill: Bank Reconciliation.

  4. Approve the suggested links

The agent compares each transaction with the invoices: same amount, same vendor and a consistent date. It proposes to link four invoices to the statement lines. Approve, and allow it for the rest of the conversation. Submit.

  5. Read the summary

The agent then updates each invoice: status, date and payment method. Its summary also flags what's left to handle, like a payment with no invoice.

  6. Check the statement

Go back to the statement details and open the transactions grid again: four transactions now have their invoice attached.

  7. Open the statement from an invoice

On the invoice side, open the Télécom Horizon one: it's marked as reconciled, with the payment date, the payment method and the attached statement. Same for Papeterie Saint-Laurent, and for Acme Technologies. The statement and the invoices are linked both ways. Click the attached statement: it opens right from the invoice.
